Uplifting Cultural Event in Winchester Cathedral

Large numbers of visitors make WWWeave exhibition a great success

A steady stream of visitors over the past four weeks to the World Wide Weave Exhibition has made it a great success and a significant cultural event. Many people saw the exhibition reported on TV and Radio or in the Hampshire-wide press and made a special journey to see the exhibition in its magnificent setting of the thousand-year old cathedral. Visitors were moved and uplifted by the spirit of community which they could see living in the exhibition, were astonished at the scope and internationalism of Camphill  and full of admiration for the skill and achievements of people with learning disabilities who had created such a varied, colourful and technically brilliant display of textile art. The exhibition will re-open in Oxford (North Wall Arts Centre) on 25th March.
