Tinh Truc Gia (Peaceful Bamboo Family) in Hue

In the heat of Hue's summer wind our young ladies sit on the cosy terrace peacefully following the needle up down with colourful threads, creating charming flower arrangements. There is chit-chat, some laughter, Mrs. Vong giving instructions. Embroidery is an afternoon activity for some of our residents at Tinh Truc Gia, the Peaceful Bamboo Family in Hue, Vietnam.

We are surrounded by bamboo, by a lush, humid and rich nature. Cicadas and all sorts of birds, and our neighbours Karaoke, fill the air with lovely sounds. In this lovely atmosphere we chose a flower embroidery, roses in a bamboo vase, to represent Camphill in Vietnam.
