'Ways to Quality' in the UK and Ireland

Developing inclusive and holistic quality assurance methods

In 2011 seven residents with disabilities from two communities in England took part in the Ways to Quality Foundation Course. This encourages and enables residents to have a voice in the ongoing development of their community and also to understand the concepts underlying WTQ as a self-regulatory tool. Camphill Foundation has given financial assistance to help establish a legal framework for WTQ in the UK.

WTQ is a quality assurance system for organisations with a human and ethical task, based on the work and philosophy of Rudolf Steiner and with a close affinity to the ideals and practice of the Camphill Movement. The Foundation Course has been taking place annually in the UK since 2000 and each cohort usually comprises about 25 people.
